We believe that we are charged to share our faith through both local outreach and global mission, sharing the Bread of Life with other "beggars" like ourselves. We want to say to our neighbors next door and around the world: ‘we loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well’ (1 Thessalonians 2:8). We desire to be obedient to Jesus’ mandate to “go and make disciples of all nations” not out of duty but out of love for God and a life-altering understanding of the sacrifice he made to be united to his children.

Local

We want to be involved in the lives of people in Gainesville and Hall County. God cares about local communities. God does not always ask missionaries to travel far away from their hometown. Usually, God sends missionaries into the areas where they live to bring the good news to them. Westminster is here to share in the life of this community. We want to share in what people enjoy, to engage in what people care about, and contribute to the life and community of this area. We want to say to the people of Gainesville: ‘we loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well’ (1 Thessalonians 2:8). We don’t just want to speak about Jesus and walk away; we want to speak of Jesus and share our lives.

Global

We embrace the belief that ‘missions exists because the worship of God does not.’ This reality grieves our hearts because Jesus is both the local and global Savior. It is our desire to connect the Westminster family to God’s greater global family. Therefore, we hunger to see people grow as missionaries both locally and globally. Answering our King’s mandate to “go and make disciples of all nations,” we will seek to be witnesses in our community, state, and world. Our King’s victory motivates us. One day every eye will see the full extent of His victory and reign. Therefore, we will face opposition and opportunities seasoned with humility and quiet confidence.

We are sent into the world, like Jesus, to serve. For this is the natural expression of our love for our neighbors. We love. We go. We serve.
