About Rev Brandon Hawkes: A native of Charlotte, NC, Brandon is married to Annalee and they have 3 children. He graduated from NC State University (Forestry) and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.div). He served in campus ministry, youth ministry, and church planting in North and South Carolina before moving the GA to help with the church planting effort in Toccoa. Brandon loves playing sports in his free time (especially basketball and disc golf) and being outside with his whole family.

"You Will Receive Power When the Holy Spirit Has Come Upon You"

Jesus does not expect any missionary, any preacher, any officer, any member to be an effective witness for Him UNLESS you have received that power from the infilling of the Holy Spirit. We cannot do anything without the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, just like Jesus said in John 15:5 “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” Let’s pray and ask once again for that power to come down from above in our lives!

About Mark Bates: Mark Bates is MTW's senior director of U.S. Operations. Mark has a B.A. in Greek from Bryan College and a master's degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. He served as youth and singles pastor at Orangewood PCA in Maitland, Florida. In 1991, Mark and his wife, Tricia, founded University Presbyterian Church in Orlando. From 2007-2021, Mark served as senior pastor of Village Seven PCA in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mark and Tricia have three daughters.

Sunday we welcome Rev. Richard Ramsay to Westminster as we kickoff Missions Month! Richard and his wife, Angelica, are missionaries with Mission to the World. Richard met Angelica in Chile, where they served for 21 years, teaching and planting churches. In 1999, they moved to Miami, where they have been working in international distance education, traveling to teach overseas and preparing courses for several institutions, most recently for Third Millennium Ministries.
